Cancellation, Return, Refund & Exchange Policy
At Carter’s India, we are committed to making shopping for your little ones as easy and worry-free as possible. We understand that buying kids’ apparel online requires flexibility, and we want you to feel confident in every purchase. This Policy explains how you can cancel, return, exchange, or request a refund for apparel purchased through our official website and mobile applications (together, the “Platform”).
By placing an order on our Platform, you agree to the terms set out in this Policy.
- You may cancel your order anytime before it is packed and shipped.
- Once an order is shipped, cancellation is no longer possible. However, you may choose to refuse delivery at the time it reaches you.
- If cancelled successfully, your refund will be processed within 7–10 business days. to your original payment method..
We accept returns for most apparel within 10 days of delivery. under the following conditions:
- The item is unused, unwashed, and in original condition.
- All tags, labels, and packaging are intact.
- The product is free from stains, perfume, detergent, or signs of wear.
Non-Returnable Items (for hygiene reasons):
- Innerwear and underwear (including panty, trunk, brief, cycling shorts, boy shorts)
- Swimwear
- Socks and tights
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect product, please initiate a return request immediately.
At Carter’s India, we believe parents shouldn’t have to wait long for their money back. That’s why we offer doorstep refunds in most cases:
- When our courier partner picks up your return, your refund is processed instantly at pickup — no need to wait for warehouse checks.
- Refunds are always made to your original payment method. For Cash on Delivery orders, you can share your bank details or choose store credit.
- If doorstep refund isn’t available at your location, don’t worry — your refund will be processed within 7–10 business days. after we receive the return and complete a quick quality check.
We understand that kids grow fast, and sometimes sizes don’t fit as expected. That’s why we offer size and fit exchanges for eligible apparel.
- You may request an exchange for a different size of the same product within 10 days of delivery.
- The item must meet the same return conditions (unused, unwashed, tags intact).
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the size requested is unavailable, a refund will be issued instead.
- For bundled sets (e.g., 3-pack bodysuits), the complete set must be returned for exchange.
You have certain rights regarding your personal information:
- Log in to your Carter’s (India) account and visit the My Orders section.
- Select the item you wish to return or exchange and submit a request.
- Our logistics partner will schedule a pickup, or you may be asked to self-ship the item if pickup is unavailable at your location.
- Once received, your request will be processed as per this Policy.
